We recently had a Superior dump trailer come in with the hinge torn. As tough as these trailers are built, it was surprising that only two small braces where supporting the entire weight of the trailer box, plus any contents in the box. We straightened the rip, rewelded what was torn, and added a heavier piece of steel plate to the entire hinge area. We always aim to fix things at or better than the factory original.
